2021 Ford Bronco Sport Review
The Ford Bronco Sport is an athletic variant of the Ford Bronco and shares features like a well-appointed cabin, powerful performance, and off-road capability.
Drivers in Buena Park, Long Beach, and Orange County, CA can learn more about the new Sport model with our in-depth 2021 Ford Bronco Sport review from Norm Reeves Ford Superstore.
Engines & Performance
The Bronco Sport features a 1.5-liter turbocharged 3-cylinder engine that produces 181 horsepower and 190 lb-ft of torque. It comes with both all-wheel drive and an 8-speed automatic transmission.
If you want more power, you can choose the 2.0-liter 4-cylinder that produces 250 horsepower and 277 lb-ft. The uprated engine also uses an 8-speed automatic and all-wheel drive, as well as cooling components and paddle shifters for improved driving and performance.
If you’re planning on off-roading, the First Edition and Badlands models are ideal choices. Both models feature exclusive equipment for rugged capability, such as twin-clutch rear drive, a locking differential, and all-terrain tires.
Bronco Sport Interior
One of the best features of the Bronco Sport is its interior, which offers a smart design and an array of features and options. Both seating positions offer plenty of headroom and legroom for passenger comfort, as well as heavily padded, bolstered seats. The materials are plush in most models, but the First Edition and Badlands models favor durable, easy-to-clean floors and upholstery for your adventures in the mud.
The cargo hold is the real winner, however, with enough room for mountain bikes, camping gear, or just about anything else you want to bring on a weekend trip. The cargo area has a slide-out table that can be used as a workspace, LED overhead lighting, a glass hatch, and a bottle opener built in for your tailgating excursions.
|Passenger Space||105.7 cubic feet|
|Maximum Cargo Room||65.2 cubic feet|
|Headroom (front/rear)||41.5 inches/41.7 inches|
|Legroom (front/rear)||42.4 inches/36.9 inches|
Bronco Sport Technology
All Bronco Sport trims have an 8-inch touch screen with the intuitive Ford SYNC® 3 infotainment setup as standard equipment. This user-friendly system has an easy-to-use layout and simple menu options. Android Auto™ and Apple CarPlay® smartphone capability are standard, giving you virtually endless options for entertainment. You can upgrade the interior technology with a Bang & Olufsen™ Sound System and SiriusXM® Satellite Radio.
Several safety features are standard for the Bronco Sport, including BLIS® (Blind Spot Information System) with Cross-Traffic Alert and a Lane-Keeping System. These features use monitors and sensors to alert you to vehicles and pedestrians around you and sound alarms to detect and prevent possible crashes. The Lane-Keeping System can even guide your SUV back to the correct lane to prevent a crash.
